The main starting point of this project was the integration of the kitchen with the living room by means of the shrimp holder that we designed, which was executed in a metalwork shop. The large span allowed the kitchen to be integrated whenever the customers wanted.

Estúdio Maré, led by architect Lívia Leite, signs an integrated apartment with an industrial touch, located in the Vila Olímpia neighborhood, in São Paulo.

With a good project planning, the office created spacious, comfortable and integrated spaces for all environments. The starting point of this project was to highlight the items in burnt cement and concrete delivered with the apartment. As a result, the high ceilings were utilized using apparent conduits for the distribution of lighting points and metalwork structures were created throughout the apartment, dividing brick walls and the door between the living room and the couple’s bedroom giving the industrial touch that the customers wanted to the apartment.

The bathroom that also serves as a toilet for the apartment and, therefore, had the counter area enhanced with the use of a smoked glass box so that, when the light was off, the inside of the box would not appear. The concrete pillar delivered by the construction company on display, was maintained.

The bedroom of the couple is accessed through the glass door and the locksmith’s room. The wall in the entrance hall that has half brick and half glass also borders the room, leaving the whole apartment integrated and well lit. In addition, the entire carpentry of the apartment, as well as the side tables in bed, in marble, were designed by the office for the client.
