Maison Falk Apartment
Located in downtown Budapest, this 250 square-meter bourgeois flat designed by 81font is defined by its timeless elegance, diverse materials and styles that live together in an unquestionable symbiosis.
Being in a 1900s national monument building, we renewed its original structure, carved stucco ceiling and beautifully wrought wooden doors with special care. We devoted particular attention to designing a flat that not only leaves the original structure intact but is also convenient for today’s lifestyle.
We custom designed a copper-coated kitchen unit that brings a contemporary touch and contrasts the homely and traditional oak Hungarian fish bone parquet. The choice of eclectic furniture and custom designed pieces accompany the contemporary and vibrant atmosphere. The whole design concept revolves around contrasts : shiny/matte, dark/light, soft/hard. The end result is an exciting association of elements that bind the old with the new.
